What can I expect from Fordable Designs?Our goal is to create a hassle-free, unique experience for you and your guests. The less stress the better! We provide the decorations with the option of delivery and set up. We will deliver and set up within 20 miles of 66205 zip code for an additional fee. There will be an additional cost if travel is greater than 20 miles. Currently, renters are responsible for take down and drop off.

Is a deposit needed?Yes, to ensure we save your date, $100 non-refundable deposit is needed. The rest of the payment will be collected one week prior to your event. There will also be a $100 damage deposit as well that will be collected one week prior to your event. After full inspection and if there were no damages, the damage deposit will be refunded back to you. If damages are accrued, an itemized price list will be sent summarizing the damage charges.

When can I expect to pick up and drop off items?You can pick up items two days prior to the event and can return items two days after event. We want you to enjoy the day after your event and be in the moment. : )

Can I meet before deciding to book with Fordable Designs?Yes! We encouraged a consultation before booking with us. That way you can pick our brains and vice versa. After the meeting we will have an idea of what your vision is for your special day. We will also go through the list of items you choose to rent for the big day.

Story
Hi! My name is Alyssa Ford and I was lucky enough to marry my best friend Matt, in October 2022. It was a bohemian urban dream. I had envisioned my wedding day since I was little girl and throughout those years my style has adapted. I love finding hidden gems throughout Kansas City, whether it be thrift stores, garage sales or vintage pop-up shops. This city has so much character and this is my way of bringing some of that to light.
My husband and I live in Roeland Park with our two pups. I am a registered nurse, which I love, but my true passion is finding and creating art for others to enjoy.
For my wedding I did all the decorations from the ground up. I wanted everything to look timeless with that vintage feel, cozy but elegant. Although I had the wedding of my dreams, I soon realized I was in over my head. People say, “don’t sweat the small stuff” and “no one will even notice” but as a bride, I know firsthand you want it to be perfect. I started this business to decrease stress on the bride and groom during the biggest day of their lives while having the wedding of their dreams.
